A replacement certificate if an original has been lost or destroyed.
Detailed Description
Glasgow Caledonian University will not issue a duplicate certificate to any applicant holding an original. Duplicates have precisely the same standing as the original which they replaced; are produced in the format currently in use and may not be a facsimile copy of the original.
The University considers the loss, destruction or damage of a certificate to be a serious matter, and a duplicate will only be issued at its discretion. The University reserves the right not to issue a duplicate or to specify reasons for its decision.
To request a duplicate certificate, the applicant must provide the University with the original certificate which is damaged or contains an error, where applicable or a completed declaration setting out, in full, the circumstances in which the original certificate was lost or destroyed, and an undertaking that, should a duplicate be issued, it will be returned to the University if the original is subsequently found.
For more information please see the Graduation & Awards website.
A duplicate certificate will normally be issued within 10 working days of receipt of the signed declaration and payment. Please note that this may be longer during peak Graduation periods.
