It will be delivered online, running over four consecutive afternoon sessions (Thurs-Fri/Mon-Tues). The workshop will be led by experts in Q methodology drawing on examples from their own research as well as the wider literature. This will be an interactive workshop providing an overview of the essential steps for conducting a Q study covering concourse theory, statement selection, P-set selection, Q-sorting, factor analysis and data interpretation. There will also be the opportunity for a one-to-one surgery session where participants can seek advice on their own Q study with one of the facilitators. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students need to complete these courses before they undertake placements. On successful completion of the course, REHIS will issue certificates to candidates. The course is primarily for GCU students although staff and the public with interest in food safety and food quality systems may enrol and join the class. It is a legal requirement that any person working in food environment (preparation, display, manufacture, retail, etc) should receive such basic training in food hygiene and food safety management systems.
