These courses are run under the auspices of REHIS mainly for students in Food Bioscience, Dietetics and Nutrition progragrammes. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students need to complete these courses before they undertake placements. On successful completion of the course, REHIS will issue certificates to candidates. The course is primarily for GCU students although staff and the public with interest in food safety and food quality systems may enrol and join the class. It is a legal requirement that any person working in food environment (preparation, display, manufacture, retail, etc) should receive such basic training in food hygiene and food safety management systems. GCU is a registered training centre for REHIS courses.
